- AegisAI raised $13 million for a new email security play. AegisAI, a new company focused on email security, exited stealth mode and announced funding of $13 million. Focus is increased protection against phishing, malware, and BEC attacks. AI features heavily in AegisAI’s approach: As attackers increasingly use artificial intelligence to craft convincing scams, traditional defences based on static rules and user training are becoming less effective. AegisAI uses an orchestrated system of autonomous AI agents, which can inspect, analyse, and neutralise threats in real time before they reach a user’s inbox. The approach integrates with Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace via API. The founders previously worked at Google. SecurityBrief UK TechCrunch
