- Willo raises $4 million; focus on increasing trust. Willo uses video to connect job candidates with employers. They have just taken $4 million in funding to support faster product velocity, better customer support and onboarding, and richer workflows. Willo has also just released a new trust-infused candidate profile offering, aimed at addressing growing AI-enabled video fraud and hiring fraud. The new service uses a combination of aggregation techniques and global data checks. - Veeam to buy Securiti? Veeam Software is apparently in advanced talks re purchasing Securiti, for about $1.8 billion. Securiti is focused on assessing data security posture plus AI security. Bloomberg
- Anthropic on defensive AI. Anthropic asserts that cyber defenders need to adopt and experiment with AI for detecting, analysing, and remediating vulnerabilities in code and deployed systems … and says the new Sonnet 4.5 model is good at doing so. We have found and disrupted threat actors on our own platform who leveraged AI to scale their operations. Our Safeguards team recently discovered (and disrupted) a case of “vibe hacking,” in which a cybercriminal used Claude to build a large-scale data extortion scheme that previously would have required an entire team of people. Safeguards has also detected and countered Claude’s use in increasingly complex espionage operations, including the targeting of critical telecommunications infrastructure, by an actor that demonstrated characteristics consistent with Chinese APT operations.
