- Horizon3.ai released Endpoint Security Effectiveness. Horizon3.ai added Endpoint Security Effectiveness to its NodeZero security platform, for evaluating the performance of EDR systems in live environments without disrupting operations. The new capability attempts to deploy a test RAT and assesses how the EDR handles the attack. One driver for the addition of Endpoint Security Effectiveness is the rise in credential-based attacks rather than attacks that exploit software vulnerabilities. A second is to give security teams much better metrics for assessing EDR efficacy. Available immediately. Horizon3.ai
- Employee distraction is a bigger problem than threat sophistication. KnowBe4’s new report on cyber threats asserts that human distraction is a bigger driver of successful cyberattacks than attack sophistication. Phishing remains the leading threat, while AI-driven threats cast a dark cloud over the next wave of attacks. The data is drawn from a survey of security professionals at the Infosecurity Europe 2025 conference. KnowBe4
